Over the past week, delegates registered for the 2011 National Convention in Seattle should have received the fourth in a series of mailings from Eddie. The latest was printed and mailed by National NTEU in accordance with our Constitution and Bylaws.
During the week of July 19, delegates were mailed a full-color flyer from Eddie, highlighting some of his commitments to you—the leaders of NTEU—and to the members that you represent.
During the week of June 13, all Chapter Presidents and Vice Presidents were mailed a full-color flyer from Eddie. The June 13 flyer offers suggestions on how your Chapter can better interact with Eddie’s campaign—through this website, through Skype video conferencing, and through text messaging. (To receive campaign texts directly from Eddie, click on one of the easily-identifiable links on this or on other pages on this website.)
The week of April 4, all Chapters were mailed a full-color brochure, calling attention to the issues that are most relevant to making our union stronger. As NTEU’s election rules require for all candidates, all mailings except the final one were sent via the National Office staff—at the expense of Eddie’s campaign.
Eddie has lots of ideas on how to make NTEU a better organization. He believes that the person who is National President must take a firmer approach to negotiations and in NTEU’s relationship to management, provide more national resources to support the Chapters, and project a stronger, more energetic profile outside our union.
This is a two-way relationship. Please let us know that your mailings were delivered. Send us your input via our Contact page. Provide us with more complete contact information so that we can reach out to you, and to NTEU leaders whom you think need to hear from us.
Help NTEU live up to its potential. Vote the future.
